Commvault is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Engineering Manager to lead the EMEA Field Advisory Services Team (FAST). This leadership role is responsible for enabling and scaling technical excellence across the Sales Engineering organization, supporting Commvault’s go-to-market initiatives across Software, SaaS, on-premises, and cloud environments


FAST delivers expert advisory services across datacentre security, cyber resilience, identity resiliency, cloud transformation, ransomware protection, and mission-critical applications — at any scale, anywhere, anytime.


The FAST team’s mission is to advise, educate, and operationally support the Sales Engineering community in delivering world-class technical solutions that accelerate deal qualification, strengthen technical validation, and drive successful technical close.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Strategy



  • Lead and develop the EMEA FAST team, aligning objectives with regional and global Sales Engineering leadership

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Sales Engineering Directors and regional leaders

  • Drive adoption of new technical strategies and go-to-market initiatives

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement


Pre-Sales Process & Operational Excellence



  • Own and optimize the FAST engagement model to ensure scalable and consistent pre-sales support

  • Manage and govern pre-sales advisory workflows through Salesforce ticketing systems, ensuring:

    • Clear intake processes

    • Proper prioritization and SLA adherence

    • Transparency in engagement tracking

    • Data-driven reporting and performance metrics



  • Establish operational KPIs to measure impact, efficiency, and quality of advisory engagements

  • Ensure seamless collaboration between FAST, regional Sales Engineering, Product Management, and Sales


Technical Advisory & Deal Acceleration



  • Support complex, high-value enterprise opportunities through structured advisory engagement

  • Enhance technical qualification frameworks and closing strategies

  • Ensure the Sales Engineering organization has access to best practices, reference architectures, and technical assets

  • Provide escalation-level technical guidance for strategic accounts


Product Specialization & Capability Development



  • Drive a structured product specialization strategy within the FAST team, focusing on key growth areas including:


    • Identity Resiliency

    • Cloud & SaaS Data Protection

    • Mission-Critical Applications

    • Cyber resilience and ransomware recovery


  • Develop subject matter expertise across designated focus domains

  • Build repeatable enablement programs and technical thought leadership around strategic solution pillars

  • Align specialization efforts with Commvault’s product roadmap and market priorities

  • Act as a bridge between Product, Field, and Engineering to ensure feedback loops and continuous improvement


Who You Are:



  • Proven leadership experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Advisory roles

  • Strong background in enterprise data protection, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, SaaS, and ransomware resilience

  • Experience managing operational processes and pre-sales workflows within Salesforce or similar CRM/ticketing systems

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale specialization models within technical teams

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging operational data for continuous improvement

  • Passionate about mentoring and developing high-performing technical talent

  • Fluent English language skills - verbal & written

  • Willingness to travel
