Job Description - Nature Solutions Analyst

 About Renew

Renew (www.renewearth.com) is a nature tech start-up helping businesses embed nature improvement into their commercial decision-making. We take a multi-metric approach to the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of nature, working across taxonomic groups to deliver ecosystem-level snapshots of biodiversity, and give clients transparent, traceable access to this data through our digital platform.

We work with corporate clients to integrate nature-positive solutions into their supply chains, support landowners and managers in tackling environmental challenges, and help unlock value from natural capital through voluntary nature markets. Data quality, scientific integrity, and transparency are at the heart of everything we do.

As we grow, this role sits at the intersection of rigorous science, meaningful storytelling, and real-world conservation impact.

The Opportunity

This is a dynamic and varied role within the Nature Solutions team at Renew Earth, working closely with the Nature Solutions Lead to deliver high-quality technical and strategic outputs that shape the development of nature restoration and conservation projects.

You will contribute to the design and assessment of projects that generate measurable environmental benefits across carbon, biodiversity, water, and soil, supporting clients to understand both the ecological potential and financial viability of their interventions. A core part of the role will involve translating complex environmental data into clear, actionable insights that help bring projects to an ‘investor-ready’ stage.

Working across a diverse portfolio of projects in the UK and internationally, you will support the development of feasibility studies, natural capital assessments, and routes-to-market strategies, helping clients to unlock and monetise ecosystem service benefits through emerging environmental markets and policy mechanisms.

As part of a growing and interdisciplinary team, you will also contribute to a range of advisory and bespoke projects, from supporting governments and NGOs in developing natural capital markets to undertaking due diligence on nature-based investments. This role offers strong opportunities to develop expertise at the intersection of ecology, policy, and green finance.

What You'll Do

Project Design & Delivery

  • Support the development of feasibility assessments for nature restoration and conservation projects, evaluating ecological potential, practical delivery considerations, and financial viability

  • Undertake ecosystem service modelling to estimate the expected benefits of proposed interventions across carbon, biodiversity, water, and soil

  • Contribute to the design and adaptation of methodologies used to quantify environmental outcomes, ensuring they are scientifically robust and fit-for-purpose across different project contexts and geographies

  • Translate technical outputs into clear insights and recommendations that inform project design and investment decisions

  • Assist in the development of project documentation required for Payment for Ecosystem Services schemes and other environmental market mechanisms

  • Apply an understanding of UK environmental policy and emerging market mechanisms to inform project development and client advice

  • Contribute to a range of advisory and consultancy projects, including market research, policy analysis, and strategic guidance for governments, NGOs, and private sector clients

  • Support the preparation of tenders, reports, and client deliverables across a variety of projects

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with project partners, gathering the information needed to design impactful conservation interventions

  • Support partners on a consultancy basis, delivering services in line with their contract with Renew Earth

Written Communication & Knowledge Production

  • Produce clear, well-structured project concept documents and project design documents that articulate the scientific rationale, conservation ambition, and commercial viability of each project to potential investors

  • Prepare and submit project documentation to certifying bodies responsible for issuing a range of Payment for Ecosystem Service credits

  • Contribute to Renew Earth's broader knowledge base by translating complex ecological data and methodologies into accessible, credible communications for a range of audiences, from scientists to business decision-makers

About You

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (ecology, environmental economics, environmental science, conservation biology, or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of the principles of experimental design and environmental survey methodologies including carbon, biodiversity, soil, and water

  • Proven ability to manage partnerships in a conservation, environmental, or research context

  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing technical or scientific documents for non-specialist audiences

  • Willingness and ability to spend short periods away from home, including in remote locations, primarily in the UK

Desirable

  • Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant discipline

  • Knowledge of natural capital markets and green finance mechanisms

  • Project management experience, including planning and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects

  • Budget management experience

  • Experience working with or alongside local communities

  • Conference presentations or other public science communication

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent position, subject to a six-month probationary period. We are a fully remote company, and staff have the opportunity to come together in person in the UK several times a year. We are seeking candidates based in the UK with the legal right to work here.

Why Renew?

We are a small, mission-driven team working at the frontier of nature tech, combining rigorous science with practical conservation and commercial innovation. If you are passionate about reversing biodiversity loss and want your work to have measurable, lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
