The team sits within the wider HR Business Operations function in People Services and brings together occupational health, wellbeing and business support to deliver a responsive, customer-focused service across the organisation
The Role:
We are looking to recruit up to 2.2 FTE posts which can be split across a flexible working multi role basis. 1 post will be case management and additional time (approx 1 day per week) to provide clinical audit, IHR support for the practice manager and capacity assessments) the remaining 1.2 FTE will solely be supporting case management.
This is an operationally remote role/s working within Cornwall Council’s core delivery hours, Monday to Friday. The post holder will provide up to six digital appointments per day via Microsoft Teams and telephone, supporting occupational health case management referrals. predominantly supporting psychological health referral (approx 80% of case load) to help managers and employees navigate health-related matters at work, including fitness for work, workplace adjustments, attendance, and return-to-work planning.
Alongside this, there is protected time for clinical supervision, case discussion and wider team support. The role will also contribute to broader wellbeing activity where required, with occasional office attendance agreed in advance with the line manager.

What you’ll need to succeed:
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified nurse with registration on Part 3 of the NMC register (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Occupational Health), or be actively working towards this qualification.
- You will bring occupational health knowledge and experience of case management, together with a compassionate and practical approach to supporting people at work.
- You will be comfortable working remotely and managing a structured daily workload, while also having time for reflection, supervision and discussion with colleagues.
- Have strong communication skills will help you build trust, provide clear advice, and work positively with managers, employees and the wider team. We welcome different working styles and recognise that people work best in different ways, so we are looking for someone who can work thoughtfully, seek support when needed, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Have an interest in wellbeing and a willingness to support wider team activity would also be valuable.
