Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will oversee procurement activities within the business services industry, ensuring efficient supply chain operations and value for money. This role is based in Liverpool and focuses on optimising procurement processes and supplier relationships however will consider candidates from further afield if willing to travel to Liverpool once per month.

Description

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for optimal value.
• Oversee the procurement process to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast supply needs and address challenges.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain supplier databases.
• Prepare procurement reports and provide insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

Profile

A successful Procurement Manager should have:

• Experience in procurement and supply chain management within the business services industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• An understanding and experience in public sector procurement regulations
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
• A methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £31,000 to £41,000 per annum depending on experience
• 35 hour working week
