Project Manager Specialist Door contractor

Your new company
A successful and rapidly expanding specialist Door Contractor now seek a project manager to join the delivery team. Working primarily in the Healthcare and Education sectors, they specialise in specialist safety door installation, working as both a main and subcontractor. With around 50 live fast-track projects at any one time and a growing client base, this is a fast-paced business but the client experience and quality of installation are paramount to the continued success of the business and prioritised above all else. As such, the project manager role is critical to the business and the main point of contact for site staff and end clients. This is a newly created position to work alongside the existing project management team of 6 within the wider business.

Your new role
As project manager, you will lead multiple fast-track installation projects within hospitals, schools and other sensitive commercial buildings. You will be responsible for all elements of delivery from planning through to handover, co-ordinating with end-clients, subcontractors, installation teams, sales and various other external stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery. The role sits above the site teams, based from the office/home reporting to the head of UK projects. Day-to-day duties would include site visits to survey existing buildings prior to works commencing, conducting regular project meetings with client and installation teams to establish project requirements, timelines, potential issues and resources needed, ensuring high standards across all jobs and a positive customer experience.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in a project management capacity, ideally in the manufacturing / installation of doors/windows or similar, as you will need a strong understanding of the manufacturing process, materials and quality standards. Degree education would be desirable but not essential. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects and the organisation and coordination this entails. You will be working on various client and in-house portal systems, so good IT skills are important.

What you'll get in return
A basic salary of up to £50k + car allowance and performance-related bonus.
