Law firm based in East Riding of Yorkshire

A boutique Law firm based in East Riding of Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Risk & Compliance Manager to join their firm for a departing Compliance Officer that is retiring.

This law firm specialises mainly in Real Estate, Disputes resolution, Corporate Law, and Private Client, Family, and Residential Property.

They have Clients that include Major Supermarkets.

This firm offers a great working environment and culture and you will have autonomy for run the Risk and Compliance department how you see fit. There is no glass ceiling for this role and promotion in titles and responsibilities are on offer. You will be able to grow the Risk & Compliance department.

The duties of the Risk & Compliance Manager for a law firm based in East Riding of Yorkshire will include but not limited to:

· Ensuring Compliance with the SRA standards are adhered to

· Dealing with client matters to regulatory standards such as conflicts of interests, data protection,

· Assisting the COLP with SRA communications, investigating and advising on breaches

· Dealing with complaints/claims against the firm - liaise with SRA, Legal Ombudsman and insurers

· Lexcel accreditation and reports

· Deliver training to fee earners

The requirements for the Risk & Compliance Manager role that is fully remote, for a law firm based in East Riding of Yorkshire are:

· Ideally Risk & Compliance experience from a Law firm

· For Solicitors that may want to move into a Risk role - no more targets!!

· For Practice Managers that would be keen for a pure compliance role

· Great communications skills and ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders

This is an excellent opportunity for a risk & compliance, solicitor or practice manager, that wants a new challenge and have full autonomy on how to run a compliance department. A hand off and further training will be provided by the leaving Compliance Officer.
