Senior Accounting Manager

Senior Accounting Manager | c. £100,000 + Benefits | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based

For a UK Fintech, with customers across 50 countries worldwide, we are recruiting a Senior Accountant to lead the FCA regulatory reporting, accounting and statutory compliance as well as the audit process, coordinating and liaising with Group Shared Services in India. Reporting to the Head of Global Accounting and with a dotted line to the CEO, this is a pivotal role within a diverse and dynamic company, poised for growth.

Main Duties:

• Lead and coordinate the production of multiple quarterly FCA regulatory reports, ensuring the company is always fully compliant with FCA requirements.
• Lead Audit processes, liaising with both the external auditors and stakeholders internally
• Lead accounting and statutory compliance and accurate maintenance of monthly accounts.
• Responsibility for Statutory compliance across Tax, Company Law, and Pensions
• Finalisation of accounts and Audit and company consolidation
• Month-end & year-end leadership including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts & bank
• Cashflow management and compliance with capital adequacy rules
• Manage funding and cashflow in coordination with Head Office.
• Management of Revenue with Group AR team and in partnership with Business Controller
• Maintenance of clean Balance Sheet, regular reconciliations and monthly schedules
• Preparation and sign-off of monthly accounts reporting, for submission to Group in Dubai.
• Regular update of all book entries, supported by India SSC
• Oversee functions within SSC and accounting operations within overseas subsidiaries

Person Specification:

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified with experience in financial accounting and statutory compliance for complex UK entities.
• Experience of working at senior level in FinTech and FCA regulated entities is essential
• Direct interaction with FCA and the production of FCA reports / returns is essential
• Proven expertise of leading the annual Audit
• Experience of working remotely with dispersed teams including Shared Services
• A proactive, confident, and collaborative Accountant, with the ability to work constructively with senior leaders is essential to be successful in this dynamic, fast-moving company.
