We are Spliced Inc. and we’re looking for a Senior Economy Designer.

The Role

Fantastic opportunity to work together with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement, and iterate on meta-game, progression and economy systems for our upcoming AAA title. 

Passion and collaboration are critical to us. At the heart of the role, you’ll find yourself immersed in designing and developing meta-game, progression and economy-related features for our live-service AAA game. Crafting the in-game economic systems that drive player interactions, engagement, and overall enjoyment. Your creativity and analytical skills will shape the flow of resources, incentives, and rewards, ensuring a sense of achievement while maintaining a balanced and engaging environment.

You will collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to integrate a solid economic design seamlessly into the gameplay. Your contributions will be critical to the success of the game. This is an opportunity to [potentially] come up with something revolutionary.  Additionally:

• Designing and implementing engaging in-game economies to drive, enhance and provide long-term sustainable engagement for our players.


• Design and request features across backend, tooling and game engineering teams to enhance the player’s experience and engagement with the game economy


• Analyse player behavior and game data to continuously improve and balance the economy.


• Create and maintain economic documentation to outline systems, assumptions, and design decisions.


• Develop, implement and test alternative economic models to identify the best fit for our game.


• Monitor and adjust the economy on an on-going basis both pre and post-launch based on player feedback.


• Experiment with pricing strategies and reward systems to maximize player engagement


• Work with studio leadership to provide guidance on best practices to balance healthy player economies and monetisation practices

About You

• Extensive experience in Live Service game design or economy design.


• Implementation experience with UE5 (data structures and tooling).


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret player behavior and complex data using tools such as, but not limited to, Machinations and Excel for visualization.


• Knowledge of economic principles, game balancing, and reward systems to ensure economic stability of the game over a long game life cycle.


• Strong understanding of player motivation and engagement strategy frameworks particularly across different geographic markets and platforms.
