Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Onshore) - Outside IR35

Deliverables of the individual contactor: 

The contractor’s role will include:

• Acting as a specialist geotechnical engineer on onshore Energy projects, from feasibility stage to detailed design.


• Formulating resolutions to technically challenging and/or high-profile issues and communicating effectively with project engineers, project management and clients.


• Providing construction support, as required.


• Ensuring compatibility and compliance with client specifications and recommending cost-effective/ value added improvements within the scope of client specifications and requirements.


• Taking responsibility for all geotechnical engineering aspects of the scope of work including execution of project deliverables and all relevant calculations.


• Undertaking specialist activities and/or reviews of geotechnical engineering aspects.


• Reviewing and analysing geotechnical data to develop geotechnical design parameters, advise on further ground investigations, identify hazards and manage risks.


• Providing support to procurement/proposals for ground investigations and other relevant technical services, as required.


• Undertaking design activities such as slope stability analyses, slope stabilisation methods, retaining structures, design of shallow and deep foundations, etc. 


• Liaising with multi-discipline teams to ensure consistency and continuity in design.
