Service Engineer

Overview
My client are looking for a self-motivated Service Engineer to join their expanding team and the role entails servicing design and technology machines in Schools, Colleges and Universities. The role involves travelling throughout education facilities in Scotland on a remote basis therefore the applicant must be able to plan weekly routes and accommodation if needing to stay away from home.

You will be used to undertaking planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing fault and keeping orderly paperwork. You will have good communications skills and be able to work on your own.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of design and technology equipment such as power drills, band saws, belt sanders etc. to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimise downtime.
• Install and test new equipment as per company standards.
• Provide on-site support and training for customers on product usage and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing duties.

Experience

• Experience in maintenance/repairing of machines
• Mechanical experience
• Electrical experience is preferred but not essential
• Working both unsupervised and as a team
• Good Communication skills
• Able to apply for a DBS
• A valid driving licence for travel to client locations.
