Social Worker - Adult Social Care - Locality

Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Sutton to recruit for a Social Worker - Adults Locality Team on a permanent basis paying £40,755-£48,531 P/Annum.

Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. Sutton is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing several changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families.

Responsibilities include:

• Undertaking DSTS and CHC
• Court related work
• Undertaking Care Act 2014 Assessments - identify individuals' care and support needs, ensuring a personalised approach that emphasises the best outcomes
• Completing Care Act 2014 Reviews - evaluating the strength and suitability of an individual's care and support plan, ensuring that it continues to meet their needs and preferences

• Liaising with other professionals
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Holding complex cases
• Providing advice to the public, partner agencies and regulated care providers in relation to safeguarding concerns
• Completing home visits and safeguarding assessments and reports
• Working with people at risk, and people who have caused harm
• Attending multidisciplinary meetings
• Completing referrals to relevant agencies for support

Experience preferred:

• Post qualifying experience of working within an Adults Locality Team or Safeguarding Team.

Minimum Requirements:

• SWE Registration
• 2 years post ASYE working experience as a Uk registered social worker

• Have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Experience in undertaking complex Mental health and Physical health cases.

• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
