The Role of the Technical Sales Specialist

• Field based role, working from home and visiting hospitals across UK and Ireland

• Drive sales by identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals across the territory.

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.

• Deliver on-site and remote training to laboratory personnel and clinicians.

• Support customers during product installation, validation, and routine use.

• Build strong relationships with laboratory managers, microbiologists, and infectious disease specialists.

• Provide feedback from the field on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.

• Attend and exhibit at trade shows, conferences and events within the territory.

Benefits of the Technical Sales Specialist

• Basic salary: £35,000-£42,000 + 20% OTE

• UK Mileage: 10kmiles @£0.45 + additional @£0.25 per mile

• Company Pension Scheme (5% employee, 3% employer)

The Ideal Person for the Technical Sales Specialist

• BSc or MSc in Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

• Full UK Driver’s License.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to travel extensively within the UK (up to 60%) and Ireland (10%)

Preferred:

• Experience with fungal diagnostic products or fungal biomarker assays is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with antigen and/or molecular testing is preferred.

• 2 Years’ experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic applications role is strongly preferred.
