Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent 

Grade: SC2

Target Salary: £42,642

Location: Mobile 

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to be part of the CITB Customer Engagement Team as a Training Provider Relationship Manager where you will be engaging with training providers on behalf of CITB. You will build and maintain positive relationships with providers who deliver construction training as well supporting their business development needs. 

We are looking for someone who is comfortable to travel extensively across Great Britain to meet and build rapport with our customers and a keen collaborator who can ensure clear communication channels with colleagues across the business.  You will manage stakeholder expectations across CITB and your customers. You’ll be the main point of contact for our customers and will need to support their business development in an evolving construction skills landscape



Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead responsibility for relationships with a caseload of providers.
  • Grow the network through business development activities, promoting opportunities to eligible training providers and supporting them through sign up/other contracting processes.
  • Conduct regular review meetings which consider provider performance from a range of perspectives.
  • Maintain links and engagement with key teams including Employer Networks, New Entrant Support Teams (NEST), Quality and Standards, and Products; and with services delivered by our enabling partner to ensure provider experience is managed holistically.
  • Advocate on behalf of providers, giving feedback and insight to relevant internal stakeholders on the operation of the network and potential improvements.
  • Maintain broad, up to date knowledge and understanding of the full CITB offer and the construction sector including an excellent understanding of the Training Provider Network and associated processes.
  • Represent CITB at meetings, large scale events with providers, employers and stakeholders and on social media channels.
  • Communicate and present the full breadth of the CITB offer, and insights/forecasting, adapting, and developing new presentations and materials depending on the needs of the audience.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to respond to complex provider queries or informal complaints. Escalate queries or seek expert input in the right part of the organisation on a needs-led basis.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer engagement using CRM (other reporting tools as appropriate) provide written narrative and analysis for internal and external audiences.
  • Represent the engagement team on internal projects or relationship management meetings as required.
  • In the devolved nations, provide nation specific training provision insight to aid with skills policy influencing, where applicable and as requested.

 

What we’re looking for:

Essential

  • Proven relationship management skills.
  • Proven experience of delivering business development outcomes.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage own workload to deliver against a range of priorities.
  • Experience of delivering a high-quality customer service.
  • Demonstrable well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to assimilate complex information and maintain a broad base of sectoral knowledge.
  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes through collaborative working.
  • Good knowledge of the construction training and skills landscape.
  • Good knowledge of the range of construction training providers and provision.
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification level or demonstrable practical experience

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience working in or with the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of training and upskilling routes into construction.
  • A working knowledge of CITB products and their applicability to the training provider audience.
  • For posts based in Wales – CITB is committed to providing a consistent service in Welsh and English, and so the ability for the successful candidate to be able to speak and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable.
