About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Renewables Callout Advisor to join a large installation company's growing Operations team.
As the first point of contact for customers experiencing technical issues with their renewable energy systems, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience. You will be responsible for managing technical callouts, coordinating engineer attendance, providing updates to customers, and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming technical callout requests via phone, email, and online systems. Assess and prioritise repair requests based on urgency and safety considerations. Schedule and dispatch qualified engineers to customer locations. Maintain professional, empathetic, and timely communication with customers throughout the process. Accurately record customer information, job updates, and call notes within company systems. Provide basic troubleshooting guidance where appropriate. Liaise with customers, engineers, and internal teams to support prompt issue resolution. Monitor ongoing callouts and follow up with customers to ensure work has been completed to a high standard. Escalate recurring issues and customer feedback to management to support continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
About You
Essential
Previous experience in a customer service or customer support role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling urgent situations. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail. Experience using CRM, scheduling, or call management systems.
Desirable
Knowledge of renewable technologies such as Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging, or Heat Pumps. Previous experience within a technical, engineering, utilities, or renewable energy environment. Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours or on-call requirements.
