Job Description - Repair and Maintenance Supervisor


We are thrilled to announce that Lanes Group and Sapphire Utility Solutions have secured multiple contract extensions with our key strategic client, Severn Trent Water. As trusted delivery partners, we will continue providing proactive and reactive Clean water solutions across their network, supporting them through the AMP8 regulatory period - the most significant investment phase the water industry has ever seen.


 


We are currently recruiting for a Repair and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across the Midlands area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, working on critical infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities.

About the Role:



Location: Shropshire


Salary: up to £42 000 depending on experience


Working Hours: 47.5 hours per week, with a rotational weekend shift approx every 7 weeks.

Key Responsibilities 



  • Issuing daily work packages,

  • Monitoring safety / compliance on site

  • Approving and checking daily Risk and method statements.

  • Carry out cat downloads

  • Undertaking Safety / compliance / quality, Audits,

  • Dealing with customer complaints positively

  • Toolbox talks.

  • Manage other resource e.g., reinstatement, materials, and plant.

  • work with the scheduling team ensuring programmes is managed and delivered

  • You will help manage the defect programme and ensure that KPIs are met, and Highway Meetings are attended

  • liaise with the Support Services and Streetworks Team to ensure that FPN and Section74 liabilities are managed

  • Complete team inspections, to ensure a high level of compliance with a real focus on quality and first-time reinstatement


 


Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance



  • Maintain full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) regulations, ensuring that all site activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Severn Trent Water standards.

  • Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all operational teams, reinforcing adherence to safe working practices..


 


Customer Experience & Engagement



  • Ensure minimal disruption to customers and communities while conducting survey activities.

  • Coordinate with customer liaison teams to provide clear communication and engagement where access is required.

  • Ensure project teams are briefed on customer-related concerns to maintain a positive perception of Severn Trent Water.
