Repairs Team Leader

A client within the Public Sector based in North London is currently recruiting for a Repairs Team Leader to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property services environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to manage, direct and plan responsive repairs/planned and void works to be carried out by a team of operatives and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing Operatives and sub contractors working in all trade areas, ensuring that all staff work effectively and productively as part of a team.
• Ensure that all materials and information are available to the operation team when required and in conjunction with staff under the post holder's control.

• Ensure that the Schedule of Rates and other contract requirements are appropriately, correctly and efficiently being used in respect of the work being carried out.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a full driving licence and be a qualified and experience trades person or repairs surveying background.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Building maintenance/ sound knowledge and experience of delivering a responsive repairs service, voids service and or planned works service.
• Staff supervision and management.
• Contract administration (sub-contractors).
• NEBOSH / IOSH, ROSPA construction Health & Safety. CIOB maintenance certificate, IMBM maintenance certificate

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £25 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 .
