Key Responsibilities

• R&D Process: develop & implement a consistent and effective R&D process - from simple ideas right through to being ready for market.
• Product Development: Lead the research and development of innovative façade systems, materials, and technologies, ensuring alignment with architectural trends, sustainability goals, and client needs
• Product Improvement: Analyse performance feedback, installation challenges, and maintenance data to identify opportunities for product refinement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability of existing façade products.
• Budget Management: Manage the R&D budget, prioritising R&D projects to ensure the best return on investment. To identify and focus on only those areas which will secure the best return.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the R&D Designer, providing guidance and oversight on projects.
• Market Research & Client Engagement: Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to identify market needs and client requirements for new product development.
• Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to assess the feasibility and efficiency of materials and processes.
