We’re looking for two ambitious and personable Research and Grants Managers to support key financial processes and help drive performance across a dynamic portfolio. This role blends technical accounting responsibilities with meaningful stakeholder engagement, offering the perfect mix of variety and impact. One position is largely focused on the monthly reporting, whilst the other oversees audit; with both positions covering shared responsbilities.

• Managing a team of two junior members of staff, making sure to upskill them whilst also providing support and growth opportunities.
• Take responsbility in overseeing the financial aspect of the projects portfolio, making sure to become a subject matter expert across the 300 grants that you would be responsbile for
• Act as a trusted partner to high levle, academic stakeholders, to guide them through complex financial terms
• Being responsbile for managing the close of different projects within the department, ensuring that all relevant financial reports are created
• Being solely responsbile for end to end monthly grant reports in addition to managing relationships with stakeholders to better understand indidviual budgets (monthly reporting version of the role only)
• Manage the entire audit process through the central finance team, answering any queries that may be raised (audit reporting version of the role only)

• A part qualified accountant in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivilant, being at least level 2 of one of these qualifications
• It's desireable to have experience within grant maagement
• A strong communicator, being able to push back and challenge senior stakeholders
• An aptitude for financial reporting, being able to compile complex financial reports
