Research & Development Engineer

Location: Fareham, Hampshire – on site.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus package.

Copello is looking for an R&D Engineer to join a specialist technology business developing innovative engineering solutions for challenging environments.

This is a varied, hands-on position covering electronics, embedded software, prototype development and testing. Recent graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, assemble and modify electronic circuits and PCBs.

* Develop and debug embedded software, primarily in C.

* Build prototypes, test systems and investigate technical faults.

* Use laboratory equipment to verify performance and reliability.

* Support system integration, commissioning and technical documentation.

About You:

* Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

* Practical experience in either electronic hardware design or embedded C development.

* Basic working knowledge of the other discipline.

* Confident using test equipment, reading schematics and troubleshooting issues.

* Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach.

Desirable:

* STM32 or other Arm Cortex-M development.

* MTBF or FMEA analysis
