Assistant Site Manager – Residential New Build

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Duration: 3 Months – Temporary

Our client is a well-established residential developer delivering high-quality new build homes and is looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.

The development is predominantly timber frame, with some traditional construction, so a strong residential new build background is essential.

The Role

You will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development, with particular responsibility for taking plots from second fix through to completion and handover.

The successful candidate must have excellent finishing knowledge, a strong eye for detail and be fully up to date with NHBC standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with the day-to-day management of the development.

* Take plots from second fix through to completion and handover.

* Coordinate subcontractors and site trades.

* Monitor quality, progress and workmanship.

* Carry out inspections and ensure defects are identified and rectified.

* Ensure works comply with NHBC standards and building regulations.

* Maintain high standards throughout the finishing stages.

* Assist with health and safety and site documentation.

* Work closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential new build.

* Strong knowledge of timber frame construction.

* Experience taking plots from second fix through to completion.

* Excellent finishing and snagging knowledge.

* Up-to-date knowledge of NHBC standards.

* SMSTS – Essential.

* First Aid – Essential.

* Relevant CSCS card.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.
