6-Month Contract Role with a Local Authority

Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home in accordance with CQC regulations and best practices.
  


• Ensure the service consistently meets regulatory standards and achieves positive inspection outcomes.
  


• Drive continuous improvement in service quality and performance.
  


• Promote and deliver innovative, high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual resident needs.
  


• Ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing is supported with dignity, compassion, and respect.
  


• Champion best practices in dementia care.
  

Essential Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a residential care setting for older people.
  


• Experience managing teams, budgets, and operational performance.
  


• Experience in safeguarding practices and promoting safe care environments.
  


• Experience using quality assurance and monitoring systems.
  

Essential Qualifications Required

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or Health & Social Care) or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  

Additional Information

• Working hours: 36 hours per week.
  


• The candidate must be able to respond to the competing demands of a busy care home, demonstrate critical decision-making skills, and inspire confidence in others.
  


• The postholder is required to take part in the manager's out-of-hours on-call rota.
  


• Location: Mapleton Road, London, Greater London, E4 6XL, United Kingdom.
  


• Enhanced DBS required.
  


• We work on a bi-weekly schedule.
