Job Description - Residential Deputy Manager

Residential Deputy Manager – Permanent
Location: City of Doncaster Council
Salary: £38,658 + 8.5% all-inclusive allowance
Hours: 148 hours over 4 weeks (includes weekends, sleep-ins, and shift cover)
Are you ready to lead, support, and make a real difference in the lives of young people? City of Doncaster Council is looking for a dedicated Residential Deputy Manager to help run our children’s home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Key responsibilities:

Support day-to-day operations and step up in the Registered Manager’s absence
Lead care planning, safeguarding, staff supervision, and rota management
Build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards

What we’re looking for:

Experience in residential childcare with leadership responsibilities
Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations & Ofsted standards
Level 3 QCF in Children & Young People (Level 5 desirable)
Flexible, compassionate, and ready to take on new challenges
