Legal Assistant/Paralegal – Conveyancing – Reading

About Us:

We are a young, small and fast-growing law practice based in Reading. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team and assist in the running of residential conveyancing matters. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the firm's growth and to take on a varied caseload with plenty of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with a wide range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity
• Manage a caseload under the supervision of a qualified Conveyancer
• Provide clients with regular updates, ensuring exceptional client service and communication
• Draft and prepare documents, letters and other necessary paperwork
• Assist with the progression of cases, handling administrative tasks and managing timelines
• Support the team with business development and firm growth initiatives

About You:

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in residential conveyancing (ideally 1+ years)
• Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and legal procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Clear and effective communication skills, with a client-focused approach
• Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to contribute to a growing practice
