Job Description:
As a Senior Solicitor, you will help lead our conveyancing team in delivering high-quality legal services in property transactions.
You will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the conveyancing department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of complex conveyancing matters, providing guidance and support to junior solicitors and support staff, and fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage the conveyancing department, including supervising solicitors and support staff. Oversee all aspects of property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages. Manage a caseload of conveyancing matters from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed throughout the process. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on property law matters. Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds. Conduct due diligence and title searches to identify any legal issues affecting the property. Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transactions. Stay updated on changes in property law and regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years PQE or CILEX qualified with a valid practicing certificate. Extensive experience in conveyancing law, with a proven track record of managing complex property transactions. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and relevant legislation. Ability to prioritize workload and multitask effectively. Proficiency in legal research and drafting. Commitment to delivering excellent client service and maintaining high ethical standards.
