Residential Support Worker

Pertemps Lincoln are recruiting for Residential Support Workers to work for our customer’s residential children’s home, supporting the young people in their care and helping provide a safe, supportive and positive environment.
The home is based in Gainsborough. This is a great opportunity for people looking for long-term employment within a residential childcare setting. 

What duties will I have?

Supporting young people in their day-to-day activities and routines 

Providing a safe, caring and supportive environment 

Supporting children with activities, appointments and outings 

Driving children to various locations using a company vehicle 

Helping maintain a positive and structured home environment 

Working effectively as part of a residential care team

Following company policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements

Completing relevant records and documentation accurately

What skills and experience do I need?

6 months previous experience working with children or young people in a residential or support setting is essential

A caring, patient and supportive approach

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures

Full UK driving licence is required, as you will be required to drive children in a company vehicle

Flexibility to work residential shift patterns, including sleep ins

How much will I be paid?

£13.00–£14.00 per hour + £60 per sleep-in

What hours will I need to work?

A minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with plenty of overtime opportunities available.

The role operates on a residential shift pattern involving sleep ins.Shift pattern: 
Hours Day 1 10:00am–11:00pm + sleep-in
Day 2 7:30am–11:00pm + sleep-in
Day 3 7:30am–10:00am, then finish
