TeacherActive is looking for two Residential Support Workers to join our amazing supply team in Sheffield!
The role will include supporting and caring for 16-25-year-olds who have Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Mental Health difficulties. Students live in houses in and around Sheffield, with their peers and staff. The goal is to develop their independent living skills and participate fully in the running of the household, including meal planning, shopping, social activities, and household tasks. Staff will work closely with students to ensure they get the support they need to learn how to live more independently and make safe decisions.
The ideal Residential Support Worker will need to:
Have previous experience within a Residential Support Work environment Be a patient and caring approach when providing all aspects of care Be strong-willed and comfortable with challenging behaviour Have experience in one-to-one support to encourage independence and raise self-esteem Respect privacy and dignity at all times Be flexible and adaptable There is a range of shifts including AM (8:00 am-4:00 pm), PM (3:30 pm-10:00 pm), and night shifts (9:30 pm-8:30 am). This is a flexible position depending on worker availability.
