Job Description

As our Resource Planning Manager, you will be joining the business at a really exciting time, as we commence the implementation of our major companywide transformation programme. The overall plan is in place allowing you to focus on delivering the day to day forecasting, scheduling and real time planning  for the capacity/ resource plan through the next 12 months. As such, we see this as an amazing opportunity for someone who has experience in capacity planning for complex projects or large businesses with multiple 'moving' parts. 

Typical duties include:

  • Develop and maintain key planning tools, techniques and procedures
  • Support the team in the detailed production of short, medium and long term plans focusing on both supply and demand drivers. 
  • Analyse all supply and demand components using appropriate techniques and tools, providing insightful commentary and making and tracking recommendations
  • Highlight daily, weekly, monthly resource requirements, monitor plan v actual and undertake re-planning activities with key stakeholders
  • Carry out detailed root cause analysis to improve planning accuracy and put measures in place to improve.
  • Provide impact assessment and advice on business/readiness changes, key capacity creation enablers/projects, cross functional events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the business by making and driving recommendations on best use of resource, efficiency enablers and leakage opportunities
  • Design and deliver actionable performance MI
  • Support, coach and develop less experienced colleagues to aid their development and ensure planning models, methodology and practices are accurate and effective.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Excellent understanding of resource planning methodologies and service level dynamics
  • Advanced Excel knowledge essential
  • Good working knowledge of M365 and Powerpoint
  • Good understanding of front and back office performance metrics
  • Ability to disseminate large amounts of information, shape into detailed plans and provide insightful commentary and recommendations.
  • Ability to design and develop reports with high visual impact
  • Personally committed to quality, delivery and improvement

Desirable

  • Experience of Back Office resource planning technologies such as Verint Operations Manager would be an advantage.
  • Committed team player with the ability to coach and develop others and promote teamwork across the transformation functions in the organisation
