Job Description - Restructuring & Insolvency Associate

Restructuring & Insolvency Associate
2 - 4 years PQE
Salary up to £140,000

The Role

A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a talented and driven Associate to join its London-based Restructuring & Insolvency team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a collaborative and fast-growing team working on complex, high-value domestic and cross-border restructurings.

The successful candidate will have strong transactional and advisory experience and a deep understanding of UK insolvency procedures. You will work with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors and play a key role in the delivery of innovative restructuring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Advising on non-contentious restructuring transactions, including restructuring plans, schemes of arrangement, and cross-border insolvency matters
Acting for a broad spectrum of stakeholders including lenders, corporates, insolvency practitioners, sponsors, and government entities
Supporting the team on complex restructurings, distressed financings, and insolvency-driven M&A
Managing workstreams and matters with appropriate supervision, with opportunities to lead on smaller mandates
Engaging in client development and marketing initiatives
Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team growth and knowledge-sharing

About You

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years of relevant PQE
Experience gained in a well-regarded restructuring or insolvency practice, ideally within an international firm
Strong knowledge of UK insolvency regimes and experience with cross-border work
Commercially astute with a pragmatic approach to client advice
Confident, articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Proactive and collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Strong academic record
