You'll be given your own cluster of retailers, service stations and outlets to look after. Not a script to follow - a set of relationships to build, a set of problems to solve, and the judgement to decide how. You're not there to sell. You're there to genuinely improve how these businesses run, coaching site teams and advising owners on everything from compliance and product quality to layout, merchandising and profitability. When it works, it works because they trust you and that trust is yours to build.

A typical week could include

* Visiting sites to coach teams, check standards, and spot opportunities others would miss

* Sitting down with independent retailers and site managers to talk honestly about what's working and what isn't

* Rolling out new point-of-sale, merchandising or layout ideas and seeing the impact land

* Presenting results and recommendations to stakeholders - in person, by phone or over Teams

* Getting to the bottom of a complaint and fixing the actual cause, not just the symptom

You'll thrive in this role if you

* Have a background in food retail or a similarly fast-paced, customer-facing field environment

* Have coached, trained or developed people before - you know how to bring someone with you, not just tell them what to do

* Can hold your own with senior stakeholders and back it up with clear, regular reporting

* Are a natural, confident communicator who explains, advises and persuades rather than dictates

* Are self-motivated, adaptable and genuinely enjoy being out on the road and on site

* Hold a full, clean UK driving licence and 5 GCSEs including Maths and English

* Are comfortable with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have: a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certification, a post-degree work-related qualification, or previous experience managing multiple clients or contracts at once.
