Job DescriptionJob Title: Retail PLM Solution ArchitectWork Arrangement: London Hybrid (2 to 3 days)Duration: 6 MonthsNumber of Positions: 2Day Rate - £500 - £550Role DescriptionAs a Retail PLM Solution Architect, you will be instrumental in helping our retail customer implement a comprehensive roadmap of solutions leveraging PLM and bespoke applications in the areas of product design, development, sourcing, and sustainability. You will have access to cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to significantly influence the customer's strategic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a thorough understanding of existing processes and systems to build a foundation for future solutions.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape the landscape and solutions that meet strategic objectives.Translate business needs and requirements into comprehensive solutions, ensuring integration with PLM, ERP, planning, and custom applications.Create and regularly update a detailed roadmap reflecting evolving business needs.Identify gaps in current solutions, propose alternatives, and present recommendations to the Architecture Review Board.Maintain weekly connections with the Principal Architect, sharing insights and best practices under their guidance.Communicate solution details to the implementation team, providing necessary guidance and clarifications.Validate developed solutions to ensure alignment with solution principles, addressing and closing any gaps.Identify and document technical debt, proposing strategies for resolution in future roadmaps.Key Skills/Knowledge/ExperienceMinimum of 10 years as a Retail PLM Solution Architect.Proven experience delivering cross-functional, multi-year solution architecture roadmaps and supporting artifacts.Deep understanding of solution design, including modern architectural patterns and processes, with a focus on security constraints.Expertise in retail product design, development, sourcing, and sustainability.Experience architecting and designing at least one retail PLM solution; FlexPLM experience is advantageous.Knowledge of designing sustainability solutions such as Higgs Index, Worldly, and Digital Passport.Proficiency in understanding integration needs between PLM and ERP solutions.Experience designing microservices and REST APIs.Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, up to and including C-suite level.Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal, capable of explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
