We're one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

Reporting to the Head of Retirement Advice Centre of Excellence, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retirement advice at HSBC. Our Retirement Advice Centre of Excellence is at the forefront of delivering high-quality, compliant financial planning and retirement solutions.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you'll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you'll:

  • Stay informed of any regulatory changes, ensure policies and procedure are updated to comply with evolving legislation and product changes, and ensure these changes are embedded within the team
  • Oversee and check the quality of financial planning reports, ensuring all advice meets policy, procedure, and regulatory standards
  • Coach, observe, and assess team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity
  • Provide technical assistance and deliver training to new Retirement Advice Consultants and wider distribution teams
  • Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to retirement programmes, process improvements, and the development of new products and features
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with FCA rules, Consumer Duty, and Treating Customers Fairly principles
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in retirement planning, with deep knowledge of industry procedures and processes
  • Change implementation and management
  • Relevant professional qualifications (AF7, AF3, G60)
  • Sound understanding of FCA rules and the pension regulatory framework
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, with experience prioritising workloads and meeting tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required

Opening up a world of opportunity.

Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. At HSBC, we're dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces - no matter their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age.
