Role Overview:

As part of the Markets MCA Transformation team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing risk management practices. Your responsibilities will focus on risk and control assessments for Markets products and asset classes. Collaborating closely with senior business stakeholders, you’ll ensure comprehensive assessments that align with regulatory expectations and policy requirements. Additionally, you’ll manage deliverables, address cross-team dependencies, and contribute to informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Risk and Control Assessments:

Contribute significantly to the development of risk and control assessments for Markets products and asset classes.
Collaboration:

Work closely with senior business stakeholders to ensure completeness, fitness for purpose, and alignment with regulatory expectations and policies.
Deliverables Management:

Execute assigned deliverables, proactively identifying and managing issues and risks.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Drive engagement across the Markets business and collaborate with stakeholders from the three lines of defence.
Decision Support:

Inform key updates and present critical matters to management within your areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:
Experience:

8+ years in financial services.
Risk Management:

Strong understanding of operational risk management frameworks, including risk and control assessments. Proven track record in contributing to risk-based regulatory remediation programs.
Markets Business Knowledge:

Familiarity with one or more Markets product or function.
Communication Skills:

Excellent internal collaboration and negotiation abilities. Some external communication may be necessary.
Adaptability:

Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and navigate from the current state to proposed solutions.
Business Impact:

Apply in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is essential.
