I am working with an to join a leading global investment management firm looking to hire an experienced Risk Officer specialising in equity volatility . This is a senior, hands-on position responsible for overseeing risk across equity derivatives and volatility strategies, working closely with front office teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing risk exposures within equity volatility portfolios, including daily P&L, risk analytics, and stress testing. You will engage directly with portfolio managers and traders, providing insight and challenge on risk positions, and ensuring adherence to established risk frameworks and limits. The role also involves implementing and enhancing risk management processes, reporting exposures to senior management, and staying abreast of market developments in equity derivatives.

Applicants should have a minimum of seven years' experience in market risk, ideally gained within a hedge fund, investment bank, or proprietary trading environment. A strong understanding of equity derivatives, options, and volatility products is essential, along with advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex risk profiles. The ideal candidate will possess a quantitative academic background and demonstrate excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and front office teams. Familiarity with risk systems and programming skills such as Python or SQL would be advantageous.
