RN Director Cardiovascular Services

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an RN Director of Cardiovascular Services for a permanent leadership opportunity in Margate, Florida.

The RN Director of Cardiovascular Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, and Pre/Post Holding units. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and managing cardiovascular service line operations on a 24-hour basis, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff performance, and efficient resource utilization. The Director serves as a key liaison between physicians, patients, and hospital leadership while promoting teamwork, clinical excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Pre/Post Holding units.

• Oversee staff performance and ensure compliance with corporate, hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies.

• Manage multiple cardiovascular units within a complex service line.

• Promote collaboration and teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare providers.

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care across all units.

• Provide fiscal oversight, productivity management, and efficient use of departmental resources.

• Serve as a clinical and operational liaison for patients, families, and leadership.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and strategic service line growth.

SERVICE LINE & STAFFING OVERVIEW

• Service lines: Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), Pre/Post Holding

• Units reporting to Director: 4

• Staffing: 26 FTEs (approximately 30 total headcount)

• Staff mix: Registered Nurses, Technologists, and 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)

COMPENSATION

Hourly-Based Salary Range (Director Level)

• $47.08/hour (minimum)

• $58.85/hour (midpoint)

• $65.00/hour (maximum)

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for.

• Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school REQUIRED.

• Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology (EP) clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience as a Nurse Manager or Nursing Director within Cardiovascular Services.

• Proven experience managing multiple units within a cardiovascular service line.

• Demonstrated leadership experience as a Nurse Manager or Director in Cath Lab and/or EP services.

• Neuro and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience REQUIRED — must be clearly documented on submittals.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of start.

• Strong leadership, operational, and cardiovascular clinical expertise required.
