Road & Courier Freight Forwarder

A well-established freight forwarder based near Eastleigh is looking to recruit a Road Freight Forwarder to join their friendly & expanding team. If you have previous import & export (road) experience, looking to make your mark within a specialist freight forwarder, then this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role:

As a Road & Courier Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for the start to finish process of moving import & export shipments by road, both domestically around the UK & Internationally. You will be commercially minded with a real passion for moving freight & solving problems for time critical cargo (commercial & military arms & equipment).
Your responsibilities will also include;

• Negotiating and booking cargo with hauliers & carriers.
• Managing documentation flow, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin & Licences.
• Shipping explosives, weapons & defence equipment.
• Arranging collection / delivery and managing all the way to final destination.

Essential Criteria:

• Import or Export Road freight experience (ideally both)
• Commercially minded
• Excellent communication

Salary & Benefits:

For the right candidate our client is looking to pay between £27-33K for the right person along with benefits, company bonus & free parking. Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm.
