Roller Operative

Job Title: Roller Operative - Earthworks

Location: Darlington

Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour (CIS)

We are currently seeking an experienced Roller Operative to join a major earthworks project based in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate ride-on rollers for soil compaction, sub-base preparation, and general earthworks across the site.

Work closely with groundworkers and excavator operators to ensure specified levels and compaction densities are achieved.

Perform daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and ensure all plant machinery is operated safely.

Adhere strictly to site health and safety standards and risk assessments.

Requirements:

Valid CPCS or NPORS card (Ride-on Roller endorsement essential).

Proven experience working on large-scale earthworks or groundworks projects.

Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, safety boots).

Valid CIS registration.

Strong reliability, work ethic, and ability to work effectively within a team.
