Roofing Operations Manager
Northampton - Office-Based (with site visits as required)
Salary - £40,000 – £50,000 DOE + Company Van
hours – Fulltime

We’re currently working on behalf of a well-established business who is looking to appoint an experienced Roofing Operations Manager to join their growing team. This is a key role within the business and offers the chance to take ownership of multiple live contracts while also playing a part in driving new business and expanding the department.

This is an office-based role with regular site visits.

You’ll be managing a portfolio of roofing projects – both planned and responsive – ensuring they’re delivered on time, to spec, and within budget. You'll be the key link between site teams, clients, and the commercial team, making sure operations run smoothly, safely, and profitably.

As part of a growing business, you’ll also play a role in identifying and developing new opportunities.

Duties

• Day-to-day management of multiple roofing contracts
• Leading and motivating site teams and subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation and company procedures
• Client liaison, attending meetings, and providing regular progress updates
• Quality assurance and snag resolution
• Commercial oversight including cost management, variations, and reporting
• Supporting project planning and delivery schedules

The Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar Operations Manager or Contracts Manager role
• Strong technical knowledge of flat and pitched roofing systems
• Experience in social housing or public sector frameworks preferred
• Confident communicator and team leader with strong organisational skills
• Solid understanding of H&S regulations, including CDM
• Commercially astute with budget and performance management experience
• Full UK driving licence essential
