Roofing Technical Manager

We are looking for an experienced Roofing Technical Manager to oversee roofing and associated scaffolding works across a number of sites in London, predominantly in Lewisham and Westminster.

This is a varied, hands-on role requiring someone with strong technical roofing knowledge and practical experience. The successful candidate must be capable of attending site, identifying and diagnosing roofing defects and recommending the appropriate remedial works.

The role will involve managing projects from the initial survey and quotation stage through to completion, coordinating subcontractors and acting as a key point of contact for clients and their surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out roofing surveys and inspections across multiple sites

* Diagnose roofing defects and recommend appropriate remedial solutions

* Produce clear survey and inspection reports

* Prepare quotations and scopes of work

* Manage and coordinate roofing and scaffolding subcontractors

* Plan and oversee works through to completion

* Carry out post-work inspections and ensure works have been completed to the required standard

* Liaise directly with clients and their surveyors

* Attend site meetings and respond confidently to technical queries

* Ensure works are properly coordinated, documented and delivered safely and efficiently

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with substantial practical experience within the roofing industry, rather than simply general construction management experience.

You should have:

* Strong 'hands on' knowledge of roofing systems, defects and remedial works

* Experience surveying and diagnosing roofing problems

* Experience managing roofing and scaffolding subcontractors

* The ability to produce reports, scopes and quotations

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites

* Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients and professional surveyors

* A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving issues on site
