ROOM LEADER – READY TO LEAD WITH PURPOSE?

Locations: Lewisham, Vauxhall, Tooting and Balham
Rooms: Baby, Toddler or Preschool
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Shifts between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm

Tendly Recruitment is looking for confident and caring Room Leaders who want to make a visible impact not simply keep a room running.

Whether your strength is creating secure routines in the baby room, channelling the energy and curiosity of the toddler room, or preparing children for their next steps in the preschool room, we want to hear from you.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Room Leader, Deputy Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner or a strong Level 3 Early Years Educator who is ready to progress into leadership.

Your impact as a Room Leader

* Lead the daily running of your baby, toddler or preschool room.

* Motivate practitioners and create a positive team culture.

* Delegate responsibilities clearly and support staff development.

* Plan engaging activities based on children’s interests and development.

* Maintain safe staffing ratios and organised daily routines.

* Monitor observations, assessments and next steps.

* Build trusted relationships with parents and carers.

* Promote safeguarding, inclusion and excellent nursery practice.

* Support new staff, students and developing practitioners.

* Work closely with the Deputy Manager and Nursery Manager.

What we are looking for

* A recognised Level 3 or higher Early Years or Childcare qualification.

* Previous experience in a nursery or early-years setting.

* Room leadership experience or clear evidence that you are ready to step up.

* Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

* Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a nursery team.

* The ability to remain organised, approachable and calm during busy days.

* The right to work in the UK, or clear information about any sponsorship requirement.

* Reliable travel to Lewisham, Vauxhall, Tooting or Balham.
