Stafforce Ports are recruiting Ro-Ro Tug Drivers to join our port operations within the Humber Ports, supporting the movement of vehicles and cargo across one of the UK's largest and busiest port environments.
This role offers an excellent entry point into the ports industry, providing the opportunity to develop valuable driving, logistics and terminal-handling skills. You'll play an important role in the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between vessels, compounds and terminal areas, with opportunities to gain experience and progress into plant operating and other specialist port roles.
Key Responsibilities
Operating Tug master vehicles to safely manoeuvre and transport trailers throughout the terminal.
Carrying out daily vehicle and machinery safety checks to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of health, safety and operational efficiency across the terminal.
Following all site procedures and safety guidelines while ensuring cargo is handled and moved safely.
Skills & Experience
Full UK Driving Licence.
Previous Tug master experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
Previous Ro-Ro or port driving experience is desirable but not essential.
Experience driving or operating large vehicles such as HGVs, LGVs, 7.5-tonne vehicles, coaches or buses is advantageous.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures and a commitment to working safely at all times.
Flexible approach to work and willingness to work as part of a team.
Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
Keen to learn new skills and develop within the ports industry.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, including Tug Driver, Ro-Ro Driver, Lorry Driver, Port Operative, Crane Driver, Shovel Driver, Tug Tipper Driver, Class 2 Driver or Class 1 Driver.
