Pay - £200 (umbrella) per day
The Opportunity
Ford & Stanley are partnered with a key client to recruit a Rostering Administrator to support a busy workforce planning and rostering function on a long-term project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring workforce schedules and records are maintained accurately. Working alongside an established rostering team, you will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day roster administration, absence management, and resource planning activities.
The Role: Rostering Administrator
As a Rostering Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the rostering team, ensuring employee records, leave requests, sickness reporting, and roster amendments are processed accurately and efficiently.
You will work closely with operational managers and colleagues to help maintain workforce coverage, manage competing priorities, and support the smooth running of daily scheduling activities.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the rostering team to support day-to-day rostering activities. Process annual leave requests and ensure records are maintained accurately. Manage sickness reporting and other employee absence requests. Action managerial requests relating to staffing and workforce planning requirements. Maintain and update workforce records and scheduling information. Utilise Microsoft Excel to manage data, reports, and roster-related information. Respond to queries from managers and employees in a professional and timely manner. Ensure all administration activities are completed within agreed deadlines. Support the team in balancing operational requirements and staffing needs. Contribute to the continuous improvement of rostering and administrative processes.
Essential Criteria
Previous experience within an administrative, scheduling, workforce planning, or rostering environment. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work at a consistent pace whilst maintaining accuracy. Experience managing workloads and meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive and positive approach to work. Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands. Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Criteria
Previous rostering or workforce planning experience. Experience working within rail, transport, logistics, retail, healthcare, or other operational environments. Familiarity with workforce management or scheduling systems.
