Job Title: RTA Claims Handler
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, Permanent, Hybrid Working Available

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to support our lead file handlers in managing serious injury cases. This role is vital in ensuring smooth case progression and delivering excellent client service. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting lead file handlers with the management of complex serious injury cases.
• Drafting standard correspondence through the ProClaim case management system.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for Fee Earners, handling incoming calls and general enquiries.
• Managing telephone queries efficiently and ensuring timely message delivery to the relevant Fee Earners.
• Collaborating with your line manager to meet monthly performance targets (KPIs).
• Regularly updating and maintaining accurate records within the case management system.
• Ensuring all filing and information management complies with firm-wide standards.
• Scheduling appointments for Fee Earners as required.
• Liaising with the Finance Department to process disbursements and manage outstanding accounts.
• Providing support during busy periods, including document production, task coordination, phone handling, and general administration.
• Sorting and distributing incoming mail.
• Consistently achieving performance goals in a target-driven environment.
• Taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and business requirements.

Candidate Requirements:
Applicants must have prior experience in a personal injury legal environment. While experience with multi-track personal injury or medical negligence claims is preferred, candidates with a background in fast-track claims will also be considered.
