Fancy being part of a team that's growing, rather than joining one that's already at full capacity?
I'm working with a well-established South West law firm that is continuing to grow its Taunton office and is looking to add to its Rural Property team.
They're open to people from 2+ PQE, so whether you're an Associate looking for more responsibility and quality work or a more senior lawyer who would enjoy helping shape the team as it grows, there's scope here to make the role your own.
And with a salary of up to £95,000+, plus bonus and profit share, it's certainly not one to overlook!
What You Will Be Doing?
You'll work with a broad mix of rural and agricultural clients, including farmers, landowners, estates and trusts, rural businesses, developers, investors and private individuals.
The work is varied and could include:
Sales and acquisitions of farms, agricultural land and rural estates Agricultural and Farm Business Tenancies Strategic land and development Renewable energy projects Easements, rights of way and other property rights Estate and land management Rural business transactions and diversification projects
You'll also build lasting client and professional relationships, work alongside experienced specialists and develop your own profile within the rural property market.
Why This Opportunity?
The Taunton office is growing, and the wider team is growing with it.
This isn't simply about filling a seat in an established team. There's scope to contribute to how the practice develops, bring your own ideas, build relationships and take on increasing responsibility as the team expands.
If you're earlier in your career, you'll have the support and expertise around you to keep developing. If you're more experienced, there's plenty of room to make a real impact and help shape what the team becomes.
You don't need to arrive with a five-year masterplan. A bit of ambition and a willingness to get involved will go a long way.
The Firm:
You'll be joining an established firm with a standout reputation and a seriously people-focused, down-to-earth culture.
It's employee-owned, so everyone has a stake in the success of the business and receives an equal share of the annual profit share. There's also a performance-related bonus.
Flexible working is taken seriously, with a hybrid approach and flexibility around how you work. The firm also invests in its people through mentoring, training, professional development and funded qualifications.
Who Are They Looking For?
2+ years' PQE with experience in rural property, agricultural law, commercial property or a closely related area Strong technical grounding, commercial awareness and an interest in working with rural clients Someone looking for greater responsibility, career development or the chance to help build something within a growing team
What Is in It for You?
Up to £95,000 + bonus + profit share Hybrid and flexible working 25 days' holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave Option to buy additional holiday Private medical insurance and group life assurance Enhanced maternity, paternity and sick pay Comprehensive wellbeing support and counselling Mentoring, professional development and funded qualifications Paid volunteering leave Cycle-to-work scheme and season ticket loans
