Safety Case Consultant (Senior/Principal)
Didcot, Oxfordshire / Aldermaston, Berkshire
Permanent or Contract

NUVIA UK is seeking an experienced Safety Case Consultant to join our dynamic team. You will lead and manage safety case projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in risk assessment, safety management, and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements:
Senior:
5 years + experience of safety case and safety assessment, ideally in nuclear.
Good range of competence in safety case elements such as HAZOP, HAZAN, Fault schedule production, Safety case production etc. and how they work together.
Direct experience of leading production of elements of safety cases (desirable)
Knowledge of the main elements and activities associated with production.
Knowledge of assessment of modifications (ideally up to Cat A).
Ability to work in teams and some experience of leading others in delivery of tasks or elements of safety case.
Knowledge of the role of specialists such as Human Factors.
Ideally some experience of bidding, developing tenders.

Principal:
10 years + experience of safety case and safety assessment, ideally all in nuclear.
Wide range of competence in safety case elements such as HAZOP, HAZAN, Fault schedule production, Safety case production etc. and how they work together.
Direct experience of leading production of one or more safety cases such as Decommissioning, Operational, Pre-operational, Pre-commissioning, Pre-Construction Safety Reports.
Knowledge of the main elements and activities associated with production.
Knowledge of assessment of modifications (ideally up to Category A)
Experience leading teams of specialists.
Knowledge of the role of specialists such as Human Factors.
Experience of bidding, developing tenders.
Experience delivering verification work or independent peer review (ideally).
