Safety Professional

Here at Axiom Personnel, we are recruiting for an experienced Safety Professional to join a leading organisation with over 120 years of expertise in delivering critical power solutions across the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in major infrastructure, construction and critical power projects, working alongside experienced professionals while helping to shape a positive safety culture across the business.

The Role

As a Safety Professional, you'll take ownership of health, safety, environmental and risk management across multiple construction projects. You'll work closely with project teams, clients, contractors and senior management to ensure the highest standards of compliance and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead health & safety across multiple construction projects.

* Develop and implement Construction Phase Plans.

* Support Operational Risk Management (ORM) processes.

* Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.

* Advise clients, contractors and project teams on health & safety best practice.

* Investigate incidents and produce reports, including RIDDOR reporting where required.

* Review RAMS, permits to work and site safety documentation.

* Deliver health & safety briefings and training.

* Promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.

* Keep up to date with UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice.

Essential

* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Diploma advantageous).

* Strong knowledge of:

* Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

* CDM Regulations 2015

* RIDDOR

* RAMS

* ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems

* Previous experience within construction, electrical, industrial or commercial environments.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Strong Microsoft Office skills.

* Ability to obtain security clearance.

Desirable

* Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.

* IOSH Membership (TechIOSH, GradIOSH or CMIOSH), or willingness to work towards accreditation.

* Experience with ISO 31000 Risk Management.

* Environmental and sustainability knowledge.
