Safety, Reliability & Lifecycle Engineers 

Location: Bristol, Derby or Solihull (Hybrid) 

Rolls-Royce is seeking experienced Safety, Reliability & Lifecycle Engineers to support a range of current and future opportunities across our Defence business. 

Our engineering teams play a critical role in ensuring products are safe, reliable, supportable and cost-effective throughout their operational life. Working across product development, certification, in-service support and maintenance programmes, these teams help deliver engineering solutions that support operational readiness and long-term product performance. 

We are interested in hearing from engineers with experience in safety engineering, reliability analysis, lifecycle engineering, equipment health management, maintenance strategy, overhaul methods and supportability. 

What you could be working on 

  • Systems Safety and Reliability Engineering 

  • Product Safety Cases and Risk Assessment 

  • Lifecycle Engineering and In-Service Support 

  • Equipment Health Management (EHM) 

  • Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Engineering 

  • Maintenance Strategy and Supportability Analysis 

  • Product Reliability and Availability Improvement 

  • Service Engineering and Operational Support 

What we're looking for 

  • Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Controls or related Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) 

  • Experience in safety, reliability, lifecycle, supportability or maintenance engineering disciplines 

  • Knowledge of engineering risk assessment, reliability methodologies or in-service support activities 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability 

  • Experience working within regulated engineering environments is advantageous

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Early Life Cycle business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. 

Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national. 

As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role. If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided.
