Sales Administrator | Leeds | Full Time | £27,000 - £28,000 per annum
Our client is a growing UK SME in the technical product sector, supplying to trade professionals across the UK.
Due to continued expansion, they are recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join their fast-paced business.
Please note: This is a fully office-based role. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with an early finish of 4:30 pm on Fridays.
The Role
You will be the key point of contact for customers, ensuring orders, enquiries and returns are handled efficiently and accurately. This is a fully office-based role where excellent customer service, attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Handling inbound calls, emails and customer correspondence, resolving queries quickly and effectively Processing customer orders accurately via phone, email and online channels Taking customer payments accurately and professionally Managing stock enquiries and returns while maintaining excellent customer service Organising replacements for damaged goods and coordinating returns and collections Taking ownership of customer enquiries and providing clear, proactive solutions Developing a strong understanding of the product range to advise customers effectively Upselling and cross-selling products, promotions and special offers Preparing detailed and competitive quotations Placing purchase orders when required Assisting customers at the trade counter during busy periods Carrying out general administrative duties as required What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in sales order processing, including at least 2 years' experience using Sage software (essential) Experience in technical sales or security-related products Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines Proactive approach with the ability to work independently Strong customer relationship-building skills Experience managing customer expectations and resolving issues Ability to remain calm and focused during busy periods Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Good administrative and numeracy skills What's In It For You
