Sales Manager – Heat Pumps
Location: Preston or Birchwood (with travel between sites)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + £7,000 car allowance + excellent benefits

Freedom Heat Pumps is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager with proven heat pump industry experience to lead, energise, and elevate our sales function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines technical heat pump knowledge with strong commercial acumen and sales team leadership skills.

Youll be responsible for shaping the direction of the sales team, motivating staff, managing performance through KPI oversight, ensuring compliance and ethical selling practices, and securing repeat business from a growing customer base. The right person will also play a key part in supporting operations, particularly within the warehouse — ensuring efficient stock control, timely dispatch, and maintaining our reputation as a distributor of choice.

This role is ideal for a proactive leader who is ready to grow with the organisation, develop the sales function, and bring a fresh perspective and energy to a well-established business.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and manage the sales team, driving performance, morale, and motivation.

Bring in repeat business and develop long-term client relationships.

Ensure all sales activity is fully compliant — no mis-selling or shortcuts.

Use your heat pump knowledge to guide clients and support the team technically.

Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring accurate stock rotation and order fulfilment.

Monitor and manage KPIs across sales and operations.

Collaborate with leadership to shape strategy and scale the business.

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience within the heat pump or renewable heating sector (essential).

Proven track record in sales leadership, ideally within HVAC or renewable energy.

Strong understanding of air source and ground source heat pumps.

Able to inspire, lead and coach a sales team to hit and exceed targets.

Commercially savvy with the ability to spot opportunities and drive growth.

Organised, hands-on and able to manage both people and processes.

Willingness to travel between our Birchwood and Preston sites as needed.

Valid UK driving licence.
