Sales Assistant

Location: Remote (Company HQ in Ipswich, Suffolk)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a background in container logistics who thrives in a remote working environment and enjoys engaging with potential clients.

Our client is a respected name in the freight forwarding industry, offering tailored logistics solutions across sea, air, and road freight. With a strong presence near the Port of Felixstowe, they pride themselves on delivering a personal service with global reach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for following up on warm leads provided by the business, engaging with prospective clients to understand their logistics needs, and identifying opportunities for collaboration. This role requires someone who is confident, inquisitive, and capable of building rapport quickly.

• Proactively follow up on inbound leads and enquiries.
• Engage with potential customers to uncover their freight and logistics requirements.
• Ask insightful, probing questions to understand client pain points and objectives.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects.
• Maintain accurate records of lead activity and customer interactions.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.

• Previous experience in container logistics or freight forwarding is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong questioning and listening abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and digital communication tools.

• Competitive salary between £25,000 and £35,000, depending on experience.
