At LondonEnergy, we’re proud of our vital role in managing North London’s waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you’ll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.
Together, we generate enough energy from waste to power around 80,000 homes annually and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres. This is only possible thanks to the dedication of our people, who make a real difference every day.
About the role:
Join a growing and purpose-driven reUse network where you’ll play a key role in giving quality items a second life while supporting local communities and the environment. In this varied and hands-on role, you will deliver excellent customer service across both in-store and online platforms, create engaging retail displays, support stock movement and sales, and help maximise the value of reusable goods. Working across multiple shop locations, you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team focused on sustainability, innovation and continuous improvement within a fast-evolving retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver excellent customer service, promote the environmental benefits of reUse, and support community events, donation drives and pop-up activities.
Maintain attractive retail displays, safe housekeeping standards and creative merchandising to maximise customer engagement and sales.
Sort, price and prepare donated goods, identifying high-value items and supporting stock rotation to maximise revenue and throughput.
Support the movement and safe handling of reusable goods across the reUse network, working closely with RRC teams to improve item segregation and availability.
Manage online sales platforms, including photographing stock, creating listings, handling customer enquiries and coordinating collections or dispatch.
Process payments, maintain accurate stock and financial records, and support returns, refunds and other administrative procedures in line with company policies.
Follow all health and safety procedures, report hazards and incidents, and work flexibly across multiple sites while adapting to changing operational needs and new initiatives.
Friendly, approachable and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
Strong organisational, problem-solving and basic numeracy skills.
Experience in a customer-facing or retail environment, including cash handling and payment systems.
Knowledge of stock management, pricing and visual merchandising.
